Label & nutrition review
Food Label Review & Nutrition Calculations
Your labels checked against UK labelling law before an officer, a customer or a complaint finds the problem.
Who it's for
Food producers, bakeries, packers, wholesalers and retailers already selling products — prepacked, PPDS, or loose goods supplied to other businesses with a label on the crate or tray.
Coverage
Based in Birmingham with site visits across Birmingham and the West Midlands. Label work is done remotely, so I can help food businesses anywhere in the UK.

- Ingredients list order and wording
- The 14 allergens emphasised correctly
- Additives declared with their function
- Nutrition declaration
- Net quantity, date marking and storage
- Business name and address
- Protected terms such as "cream" or "wholemeal" used correctly
- "May contain" statements only where justified
Also offered
Nutrition calculations
Calculated from your recipe and ingredient specifications. No lab analysis needed for most products.

Written specifications for your customers and wholesalers.

From experience
Common problems I find

- C02Out-of-date or wrong ingredient specifications
- C03Labels not updated after a recipe change
- C04Descriptions that aren't legally allowed
