Privacy notice
Pear Consultancy Ltd is a food safety consultancy. This notice explains what personal data I collect, how I use it, who I share it with and what your rights are. I only collect what I need to respond to enquiries and deliver work.

What we collect
Personal data
I collect the information you choose to give me: your name, business name, email address, phone number and the contents of your message. If you call or email directly, I also receive the number or address you contact me from and anything you choose to share.
How we collect
Phone, email and the enquiry form
Data is only collected when you get in touch. When you submit the enquiry form, the details you entered are sent to Web3Forms, a form-delivery service, which passes the message on by email to the hello@pearconsultancy.com mailbox. The message is not stored in a database on this website. You can also just call or email me directly instead.
Why we use it
Purpose and lawful basis
I use your data to reply to your enquiry, to deliver the consultancy work if you engage me, and to keep the business records I am required to keep. The lawful bases are legitimate interests for responding to enquiries, contract where a service is engaged, and legal obligation for record keeping. I do not use your details for marketing unless you specifically ask me to.
Sharing
Who sees your data
I do not sell personal data or pass it to advertisers or social media tools. Three providers are involved, all acting on my behalf: Web3Forms, which receives enquiry form submissions and passes them on by email; IONOS, which hosts the hello@pearconsultancy.com mailbox where your message is received and stored; and Google Analytics, which records anonymous visit data such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location. Beyond those, your data is only disclosed where I am legally required to.
Retention
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted after a reasonable period once the conversation has finished. If you become a client, records are kept for as long as the engagement needs and for any legal, tax or insurance requirement that follows, then deleted securely.
Your rights
UK GDPR rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data I hold about you
- Ask for inaccurate data to be corrected
- Ask for your data to be erased in certain circumstances
- Restrict or object to how I use your data
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office

Cookies & analytics
Google Analytics
I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived, and what device or browser they use. This data is anonymous and I do not use it to identify individuals. Google may place cookies or use similar technologies to collect this information. You can read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/privacy. Nothing from the enquiry form is stored in your browser.
