What we collect

Personal data

I collect the information you choose to give me: your name, business name, email address, phone number and the contents of your message. If you download the free EHO inspection checklist, I collect your name, email address, your business name if you give it, and whether you ticked the box agreeing to occasional food safety updates. If you call or email directly, I also receive the number or address you contact me from and anything you choose to share.

How we collect

Phone, email, the enquiry form and the checklist form

Data is only collected when you get in touch or ask for something. When you submit the enquiry form, the details you entered are sent to Web3Forms, a form-delivery service, which passes the message on by email to the hello@pearconsultancy.com mailbox. The free EHO inspection checklist form works the same way: your name, email address, optional business name and your answer to the marketing consent box are sent through Web3Forms and arrive by email. The download itself is a plain file — you do not have to complete the form to open it once the link is shown. Neither form stores anything in a database on this website. You can also just call or email me directly instead.

Marketing

Consent and unsubscribing

The checklist form has an optional, unticked consent box. If you tick it, the lawful basis for sending you occasional food safety updates is your consent, and that is the only basis on which those emails are sent. If you leave it unticked you still get the checklist, and I will only use your details to send you the copy you asked for and to reply if you contact me. You can withdraw consent at any time — use the unsubscribe link in any update, or email hello@pearconsultancy.com and I will remove you.

Why we use it

Purpose and lawful basis

I use your data to reply to your enquiry, to send you any free resource you have asked for such as the EHO inspection checklist, to deliver the consultancy work if you engage me, and to keep the business records I am required to keep. The lawful bases are legitimate interests for responding to enquiries and sending a requested download, contract where a service is engaged, legal obligation for record keeping, and consent for marketing emails. I do not send marketing emails unless you have ticked the box asking for them.

Sharing

Who sees your data

I do not sell personal data or pass it to advertisers or social media tools. Three providers are involved, all acting on my behalf: Web3Forms, which receives enquiry form submissions and passes them on by email; IONOS, which hosts the hello@pearconsultancy.com mailbox where your message is received and stored; and Google Analytics, which records anonymous visit data such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location. Beyond those, your data is only disclosed where I am legally required to.

Retention

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted after a reasonable period once the conversation has finished. If you become a client, records are kept for as long as the engagement needs and for any legal, tax or insurance requirement that follows, then deleted securely.
